7-Point Month Gets Sophomore Defenseman Top Honors

Sophomore Defenseman Alex Katsihtis was named the ACHA Harrow Defenseman of the Month Award for the month of October.  This is an ACHA-level award, meaning players from every ACHA D2 team in the nation were eligible for submission.

They note: "Katsihts averaged just over a point per game, picking up seven in total in October. He’s the team’s leading scorer from the blue line and has played a pivotal role as a puck mover and powerplay quarterback. Katsihts’ influence on the powerplay is reflected in GW’s 36.4% efficiency rating with the  extra man so far this season."
